The French Efra GP was competed in the middle of May at St-Exupéry, near the Lyon Airport in France. The track was dusty and very flat during all the practices on Friday, but became clean and very bumpy during the race. The best 3 of 5 qualifying results were counted.

The final results were totally opened, with 4 drivers going for the TQ position: J.Aigoin, G.Vray, Y.Aigoin and R.Savoya. The winner of the last round would be TQ!
In the 5th and final qualifying round, Yannick made the best time with 8 laps in 5’18, followed by JĂ©rĂ´me (5’21) and Guillaume (5’28), so Yannick put his XB8-TQ in the coveted TQ position! With Julien Desplaces and Erwann Legros both in a semi-final, it was a good qualifying result for the XRAY team.

M.Farina and S.Chaffardon, both of who did not have success in qualifying, bumped up easily in the semi-final, as did very good rookie driver Romain Soret . This put six XB8-TQs in the semi-final. Yannick won the first semi-final, followed by G.Vray and R.Savoya.
J.Aigoin won the second one, followed by J.Sartel. XRAY drivers E.Legros and S.Chaffardon also went up in the main.

During the main, all drivers were very close. Unfortunately, S.Chaffardon broke his throttle servo and so had no chance of winning. Yannick, with a very easy car, won the race on the very bumpy track. He’s followed by current world champion G.Vray and world finalist J.Sartel.
